Six Sigma trainings

Six Sigma, alongside Lean Manufacturing, is one of the most recognized and valued methodologies for improving quality and productivity. It allows you to create a competitive advantage, reduce process variation, and, above all, build a lasting foundation for improvement. By leveraging data analysis and eliminating waste, you can effectively minimize errors and maximize added value for the customer.

Our Six Sigma training enables companies to significantly improve operational results and increase the efficiency of entire business processes.

the most important question

What is Six Sigma?

Six Sigma is the foundation for continuous process improvement and error elimination. Gaining knowledge in these areas is a key step towards actively participating in solving daily company problems, as well as effectively managing an organization and team.

Six Sigma is a quality management method that focuses on reducing process variability and eliminating defects/errors. This allows it to achieve the highest operational standards and deliver customer value. Six Sigma is about continuous improvement of both the process and its outcomes, while simultaneously reducing costs for the organization. It is applicable in many industries, not only manufacturing but also service-based ones.

The Six Sigma philosophy is a set of tools and methods that allow you to acquire the skills necessary to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage. To stand out from the competition, you must be able to adapt your processes to reflect the voice of the customer and make decisions based on facts—that is, properly interpreted data.

Six Sigma training is typically based on the DMAIC cycle. At OpEx, we take a slightly different approach. Based on our many years of project work and extensive experience, the PDCA cycle, created by W. Edwards Deming, is a better framework. Of course, if you’re looking for Six Sigma training based on the DMAIC cycle, you’ve still come to the right place! The tools are universal, and we’ll show you how to incorporate them into the subsequent phases.

Characteristics of Six Sigma trainings

Six Sigma training at OpEx Group covers various levels of advancement, tailored to the needs of participants at every stage of their careers. Our program demonstrates how to effectively implement this methodology at all levels of the organization. The goal of OpEx Six Sigma training, regardless of level, is to impart knowledge that participants will actually use in their daily work. Practical exercises, case studies, simulations, experiments, and project work are extremely important to us. We prioritize practice and real benefits not only for participants but also for the entire organization. During each training, we share our experience and examples of real projects we have led. We offer training at the Green Belt and Black Belt levels, but we can also conduct dedicated workshops for White Belt, Yellow Belt, and even Six Sigma Master Black Belts. Want to learn more about the Lean Six Sigma methodology? No problem! Contact us, and we will prepare a training proposal that also covers Lean Management tools.

Introduction to OpEx Six Sigma for Managers – This Six Sigma training introduces the principles of the methodology while demonstrating the benefits of implementing it within an organization. A key factor in the program's success is management's understanding and support. Managers and supervisors must understand their role in the continuous improvement process, which involves not only overseeing projects but also providing ongoing support for activities and implementing developed solutions.

Six Sigma White Belt – This is a one-day introductory workshop. Participants will learn basic tools, the concept of variation, and, based on real-world examples, the power of the Six Sigma methodology.

Six Sigma Yellow Belt – This workshop lasts three days. It covers not only an introduction to Six Sigma but also process mapping, the use of control charts to monitor results and resolve problems, and the examination of variation components and measurement systems. This is excellent training for operators and production line workers, and a good starting point for further education.

Six Sigma Green Belt – This workshop is significantly more advanced than the previous levels. Participants will gain knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DoE), and process analysis techniques that enable the identification and elimination of problem causes. Despite the many tools included in the course curriculum, it's important to remember that Six Sigma Green Belt is about continuous improvement – the primary focus should be on mindset. Learning the tools alone doesn't really accomplish anything. Practice is paramount. The price includes email and phone consultations with a trainer who will help you create an action plan and implement your first Green Belt project. After completing the training, you have the option of certification, which is also included in the training fee.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for the Service Sector – conceptually, this training is similar to the previous one, but unlike manufacturing processes, services require a different tool and operational approach. This sector is characterized by repeated information transfer, a lack of continuous flow visualization, a lack of tangible defects, and the fact that, thanks to technology, most data is available (though usually incorrectly visualized and analyzed). This training combines operational excellence and Lean Six Sigma. In addition to the concepts of variability, we introduce value stream mapping, waste analysis, 5S, operation balancing, order leveling, hejunka board, and more. This Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is an excellent choice for administrative staff, shared service centers, HR and banking professionals, team leaders, managers, purchasing and sales staff, and more. As with other training courses, certification is available upon completion. The Lean Six Sigma certification provides an excellent foundation for the job market and is recognized worldwide. We also offer dedicated Lean Six Sigma Black Belt workshops. Due to the level of sophistication and diversity of the service sector, we refine the outline of Lean Six Sigma methods and tools presented during the training individually with the client.

Six Sigma Black Belt — These are advanced workshops. They are significantly broader and more detailed than those at the Green Belt level. A person with Black Belt certification plays a key role in optimizing processes across the entire organization. Their most important attribute is the ability to learn. Tools alone, even the most impressive ones, won't tell us anything. The key is to collect and analyze information so that it expands our knowledge of products and processes and provides a foundation for fact-based management.

It's 16 days of intense work, not only during the training but also between sessions. Project management is an integral part of the program, and it's on this basis that certification can be based. Completing the Six Sigma Black Belt workshops not only allows you to solve difficult problems, but the training also aims to impart knowledge that will support projects conducted at the Green Belt level.

Benefits of the Six Sigma course

Participating in Six Sigma workshops benefits not only employees but, above all, the organizations they work for. Completing the training provides the opportunity to earn Six Sigma certification at the Green Belt or Black Belt levels, which are recognized worldwide.
Both Green Belts and Black Belts have the opportunity to truly influence the quality of company processes. They understand how to identify the sources of problems, analyze them, and implement effective corrective solutions. As a result, organizations that invest in a Six Sigma program can expect significant financial savings resulting from eliminating resource waste and improving operational efficiency, as well as the skills to develop an optimal process control plan, regardless of the nature of their business.
An additional benefit of Six Sigma training is the acquisition of teamwork, project management, and communication skills at various organizational levels. These skills are extremely valuable in a dynamically changing business environment and allow participants to better cope with challenges in their daily work.
By implementing a Six Sigma program, our clients have not only resolved chronic process issues but also increased profits. Poor quality can significantly reduce sales and therefore requires quick action. Furthermore, Six Sigma (and DOE in particular) can significantly improve reliability.

Nothing is more frustrating than inefficient work. By providing effective and simple tools for achieving goals, Six Sigma also restores employee satisfaction and boosts morale.

Six Sigma is also a foundation for supplier development. It helps reduce bottlenecks and reduces inventory requirements. Combined with Lean Management, it is also an essential tool for reducing cycle times.

Six Sigma Certification

Training participants have the option of achieving Six Sigma certification at the Green Belt and Black Belt levels. The process itself is very similar, differing only in the level of difficulty (just as these two types of training differ in their level of advancement). There is no minimum or maximum time limit for taking the exam, but experience has shown that applying knowledge in practice immediately after completing the training is most effective. Candidates are responsible for preparing a summary of their project progress and results. Based on this summary, the Master Black Belt designated by OpEx contacts the participant to ask questions about the work performed and their understanding of the tools. After completing the exam, the trainer creates a recommendation, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. If all steps are successfully completed, the candidate receives the Six Sigma Green Belt/Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Completion of the Green Belt course is not required to participate in the Six Sigma Black Belt training, and therefore to obtain certification.
