Galton Board

Bead Board (also called Quincunx) is a machine, used to demonstrate predictable and unpredictable processes, the dangers of over adjustment, and other process behaviors. It was invented in the 19th century by Sir Francis Galton to study probability and genetics. Pins represent expected variation (common cause) – many factors in a process. Beads represent parts produced by the process.
